2005 may not yet be a month old but already it is proving a tough market for equities.  Last week saw the fourth straight losing week on most major indices and many pundits are placing their faith in a move to cash.  This may be a tad desperate though and a quick look at the top industry and sector funds shows that it may indeed be misplaced. 

Four out of the top five funds evidencing the best percentage change in the last 4 weeks are real estate funds, this picture only changing slightly if one takes in the last 8 weeks where three out of the top five are real estate funds.  Remember, the last 8 weeks includes the incredible year-end run up made by equities.
